Washington DC's Wylder combines the best elements of indie-rock and chamber-folk. Informed by alternative rock giants such as Arcade Fire and Weezer, as well as the folkier sounds of Fleet Foxes and Radical Face, Wylder catches audiences with their dynamic melodies and heavily textured instrumentals. Formed by singer/guitarist Will McCarry in 2012, the group eventually grew to its current lineup in 2016, featuring Lonnie Southall (guitar/mandolin), Mike Pingley (drums), and Jackson Wright (bass). Wylder's debut album, Rain and Laura, was released in April of 2016, and was met with enthusiastic reviews from fans and critics alike. Wylder continues to perform their engaging and memorable live set across the eastern United States, distinguishing themselves as a significant voice in the independent music scene. They are currently hard at work on their next full length album.
