Free Show Americana Night featuring Bearcat Wildcat
Bearcat Wildcat is a hybrid creature: A little bit country, a little bit blue, and a little bit rock and roll. The six-member band from Washington DC draws on American roots music and modern influences to create an original sound that Blues Magazine calls "versatile" and "contagious." From festival stages to intimate house concerts, Bearcat Wildcat puts on an energetic live show featuring warm vocal harmonies, deep grooves, and striking songwriting.
Two Ton Twig
Founded in 2013 by two roommates in their Alexandria, VA basement, Two Ton Twig has evolved from its punk roots to incorporate traditional influences from Appalachia, Red Dirt, Eastern European folk, Bluegrass, and other forms of American Roots music to create their own unique sound. Two Ton Twig is Brandon Boling (banjo, vocals), Donnie Riggs (guitar, dobro, vocals), Alexandra Touzinsky (fiddle, keys, vocals), and Ryan Thomas (bass, mandolin, vocals).
Gold Connections' Will Marsh went to school with Car Seat Headrest's Will Toledo at the College Of William & Mary, where longtime friend Toledo produced and recorded Marsh's debut S/T EP last year on Fat Possum Records. Through support tours with Car Seat Headrest, opener slots with bands such as The Districts, Futurebirds, Soccer Mommy and even a tour through Europe culminating with a showing at the esteemed Primavera Club festival, Will Marsh & Gold Connections have built a solid foundation for their upcoming full length effort, Popular Fiction, which was engineered and produced at Mitch Easter's Fidelitorium in North Carolina. The new LP, Popular Fiction is a steady piece of reassurance and we are thrilled to hear how far Will Marsh has come. And we can see, with total clarity, just how far he can go.
