MD native Kenny Sway melted hearts in a viral video of him serenading a young lady, his young daughter. But before that, he had been singing to folks up and down the East Coast with the help of his band the Unknowns. His voice is close to that of legends, and his performance impactful. When Kenny Sway sings, we listen, and enjoy every note.
From the Signature Team 12 music production company, Marcus Neither is leading a movement marked by a dynamic sound. As a singer, songwriter, producer, and entertainer, he got his start performing in shows on the local circuit in the DMV area. He started his humble beginnings in the stomping grounds of Prince Georges County, Maryland. Along with his partner, he's helped produce songs for rising singer/songwriter/artist Maya Milan, another DMV native and Signature team member. Neither has been constructing music that resonates with DMV locals. He's been trailblazing a series of stages and sets from NYC on down to ATL. Neither studied at Morehouse College [GA], and later partnered to form his production business, which has produced songs, that would not only gain the attention of peers, but also the ears of some of todays Hip-Hop, RnB, and Urban music icons. He's had the pleasure of working with national conglomerates like FOX, CBS, Disney, ESPN, Radio-ONE, PBS, and WETA, and has been featured in The Washington Post, The Gazette, The Charlotte Post, Frequency Magazine, and music blogs like RnBass.
Patricia Tommy is from the DMV, raised by Sierra Leonean West African parents, and has been showcasing her many talents to the world ever since she was a toddler. From singing, dancing and modeling at local events like weddings & birthdays, to her teens, winning county wide talent showcases like Xtreme Teens Talent Search. Growing up, she was always successful when it came to taking risks that brought her closer to her dreams of being a star. As a teenager, she developed her leadership skills by becoming the president of Dr.Miles' choir at her school Forestville Military Academy. And also being a contemporary and hip hop dancer for Ms. Powell's Dare U2 Dance group. Tommi, (as her peers called her), made sure she played a part in every event she could participate in. She performed in prep rallys, homecoming, PSA meetings and Veterans Day outings. This was her way of giving back to her community. She's passionate about music, and has been performing at public & private events and on the city streets of D.C. and Baltimore. She has been working with local artists & producers to complete her un-titiled EP coming out later this year.
