Clan Of Xymox

Originally formed in Holland in 1983 as Xymox, Clan of Xymox became one of the pioneers of the dark and moody electronic music that later became known as darkwave. They released one mini-album, 'Subsequent Pleasures', as Xymox, then released two albums and a number of singles on 4AD as Clan of Xymox. They shortened their name to Xymox again in 1988 and signed to a subsidiary of Polygram. Their releases as Xymox were in a more synthpop/dance music vein.

The Xymox era ended in 1997 when, in the midst of a revival in the gothic scene, Ronny Moorings made the decision to restart Clan of Xymox and return to his musical roots. Since then, the band has released a series of critically acclaimed albums like " Hidden Faces", " Creatures", " Notes Of the Underground", "Farewell", " Breaking Point", In Love We Trust" and " Darkest Hour".
The band has released more than 13 studio albums, 2 DVD' s, a Remix and Live album ,  " Best Of " and even released a cover album named" Kindred Spirits", in 2012 giving ode to their own past influences.

The last studio album (2014) " Matters of Mind, Body and Soul“ is a captivating, darkly sparkling diamond of an album. The enigmatic magic, the voluptuous melodies, the foggy atmosphere and this very peculiar sense of tragic romance clad the album and float around the listener like a shroud. Gothic of the 21st century may be in a tough position, but CLAN OF XYMOX effortlessly prove that this genre has lost nothing of its relevance, nothing of its radiation. You just need to find the correct expression.
„Matters of Mind, Body and Soul“ melts contrasts into a coherent, harmonious, passionate album that would have become one of the genre's biggest milestones 20 years ago. Yet, thanks to Ronny Moorings ingenious craft, even today this album manages to reach a goal that has long become unreachable for other contestants of this art form: To deliver a timeless, deeply emotional Gothic record.
To the great enthusiasm of their fans, the band still tours with great energy worldwide on a constant yearly basis.  Current line-up consists of:  Ronny Moorings, Mojca Zugna, Mario Usai , Sean Goebel and Daniel Hoffmann.

Curse Mackey

Austin, Texas based artist Curse Mackey is best known as lead singer of industrial supergroup PIGFACE and notorious Texas Tribal-industrial legends EVIL MOTHERS and as a periodic member of My Life with the Thrill Kill Kult. Mackey has now launched a solo electronic-industrial project that includes new material and revamps of classic Pigface and Evil Mothers songs (including Spider Sex and Car Wrecks). Curse's sound is a future forward homage to the experimental side of industrial music, with doom fueled drones, sinister synth pulsations and dirty-minded beats layered upon hypnotic noise manipulations, scream of conscious lyrical prose and near trance inducing improvisations that evoke the ghosts of Throbbing Gristle, early Skinny Puppy, Lustmord, Coil, and the iconic projects Mackey has been a part of.

In addition to his live projects, Curse is a notable DJ on the darkwave, indie dance, industrial circuit. He DJs all vinyl sets as well as hardware/digital sets and endorses @PioneerUSA DJ gear and Alienware computer systems.

Mackey is also very active as an event producer/promoter and art curator with two published books “DRAW” and “RIDES OF PASSAGE”.

Since their debut EP Sixtape in 2014, Baltimore-based duo Blacksage has been possessing listeners with the devastating coo of folk singer Josephine Olivia and the bass heavy beats of producer Drew Scott. Melting gothic-tinged elements of modern R&B and 90s trip-hop with old-fashioned Pop, their 2015 full-length Basement Vows expanded on this dynamic. “It’s a bleak setting, but there’s inherent beauty in it,” wrote Brandon Weigel of Baltimore City Paper. Their songs tread on the darker side of love and lust while remaining aware of the experimental and danceable nature of the music scene brewing in Baltimore. Friends Records will release their second full-length Shivers in Fall 2016.
