Dedwork, Rosé Throne b2b Riza
1115 U Street NW
Washington, DC, 20009
This event is 18 and over
A true DC native, Julius Jetson has been deeply involved in the district’s music scene for half a decade, rapidly transitioning from an event planner to DJ and more recently, a producer. His music is at the cutting edge of gangsta house, a new genre that combines the best of classic Chicago house music with the power of the gangsta rap/hiphop to create music that is simultaneously deeply traditional and cutting edge. He was named as one of Complex’s magazine’s “Top 10 Producers To Watch This Year” and has received support from the entire span of dance music’s premier talent including:The Chainsmokers to Justin Martin, Felix Cartel, Malaa, Danny Howard, SNBRN, DR Fresch, Hotel Garuda, Bijou, Maximono, among others. Listen to Julius Jetson’s tracks to experience pure, soulful house music infused with the deep, raw soul of hip hop.
Gerardo Arellano started his interest in music at an early age, learning to read, write, and play percussion. He began producing on software after his brother introduced him to dance music and shortly after started to pick up deejaying. By 18, he was playing his first 2,000 cap club. In 2016, he decided to take a leap of faith and leave his on-the-rise duo Thee Cool Cats to pursue a solo career. He came out of the gate swinging with a remix for HARD boss Destructo followed by the release of his hit track “Bad Bitches” on Tchami’s imprint Confession. Gaining support from the likes of Claude VonStroke, Richy Ahmed, AC Slater, Shiba San, Claptone, Wax Motif, and many more, he's hit the scene hard, bringing a mixture of driving basslines and drums combined with melodic synths that come together to form an indistinguishable sound that’s always fresh. Blending any and all influences, he makes music that’s free. Expect anything and everything from Gerry Gonza.
We work until we're dead; some just to get by and others with stellar drive and determination to be the best... DJ and producer, Dedwork, is of the latter. Launching his identity in 2017, he has successfully turned heads to win the likings of labels such as Bunny Tiger, Bodhi Collective, Ghetto Ghetto and G-House Rowdy. His unique style almost always utilizes his own vocals and is driven not by copying track formats or standards but by using his computer as a canvas to create music that connects from within. He prides himself in work ethic and claims that producing is his prescription for a healthy life. Dedwork also pulls his inspiration from multiple genres within the scene, ranging from: Uk Garage, Bass House, G-House and Soul/Funk and Deep House. Using a variety of influences, it is no surprise that his music carries a tune tailored to the maker and separates itself from "what is cool." Its already 2018 and Dedwork is expected to release two EPs in the current year and DJ several parties around his new home base in Philadelphia where the underground scene is highly underrated and flourishing with talented producers, DJs and music fanatics. You can follow Dedwork on Spotify or Soundcloud to be the first friends to hear his newest releases.

Riza (Ghetto Ghetto)
Riza. is a producer and DJ in Washington DC. He is a versatile artist that does not let the general construct of genre define what he does or what he is capable of as shown by his mixes and tracks. Seeing Riza live is an experience; and when you do get the chance to experience him, you can expect to be surprised by his range and diversity. From the filthiest of dubstep to the most technical techno sets, he can make it happen and execute with a precision style that you don't normally see. He began his journey into DJing and producing back in 2010 with a foray that primarily focused on house music; this has been the primary focus of his production. However, he is still very well rounded and continues to throw some of the dirtiest sets you have ever heard. Having provided artist support to acts such as Oliver Heldens, Camelphat, MK, Shiba San, Bijou, SNBRN, Will Clarke, Billy Kenny, LA Riots, Kill Frenzy, A-Trak, and DJ Mustard, he is an unstoppable up and comer whose positivity both on and off the stage is infectious and is guaranteed to leave you out of breath, sweaty, and with a smile on your face.
