Songwriter Night is a night to showcase touring and local artist's music. This night gives artist's a place to play there original music while networking with other musicians and listeners. This is a promoted show NOT an open mic so contact the promoter if you are interested.
Originally from the suburbs outside of Richmond, VA, Andrew began forming his brand of introspective power pop as a teenager. A self-proclaimed school band geek for 7 years, he picked up guitar at 13 and seldom put it back down. Unable to find a consistent band or music project, Andrew began (somewhat reluctantly) singing and writing his own songs at 15.
Andrew’s influences began with classic rock, blues, and R&B such as Jimi Hendrix and Stevie Wonder. Later on his sound began to draw from contemporary singer-songwriters like Dave Barnes, John Mayer, Josh Kelley, Keith Urban, Eric Hutchinson, and Kyle Riabko. Andrew's most current influence comes from mellow indie folk-rock a la Band of Horses, St. Vincent, Temper Trap, Bombay Bicycle Club, Grizzly Bear, City and Colour, and Death Cab for Cutie.
Andrew is willing to play just about anywhere and has had live performances at bars, pubs, restaurants, clubs, coffee shops, cafes, county fairs, festivals as well as traditional music venues. He has also played in parks, playgrounds, basements, bathrooms, and house shows. With no fear of the unconventional, Andrew Rohlk is prepared to play his music far and wide.
Caitlin Lane is a Richmond, Virginia bred country/pop singer known for her twangy guitar and powerhouse vocals
