A native of Los Angeles, California's Hollywood region, Matthew Musto was known as a fledgling, rock-leaning singer/songwriter until he co-wrote Justin Bieber's "Boyfriend," a number two hit on the Billboard Hot 100 in 2012. Around the same time, he reinvented himself as a rapper and more R&B-oriented singer through the self-released Sex, on which he was joined by fellow "Boyfriend" co-writer Mike Posner, James Blake, and Maejor Ali. He also appeared on MGK's Lace Up. An EP, The Afterglow, followed in 2014. Another big stride was taken the next year with Deadroses, a self-released set of tracks that registered on Billboard's Uncharted listing of releases from upcoming artists.
Up and coming artist Jamaal Jones, better known as Elhae, is a very diverse artist and what we call a "triple threat" due to the fact that he sings, raps, and creates his own beats. Growing up in the church environment has a lot to do with that with his mother being in the church choir & Elhae singing solo's in church himself. Elhae was born on August 24th in Minot, North Dakota due to his father being in the military. After 5 years, Elhae and the family packed and moved to Savannah, Georgia, where he discovered his unusual love for music. Although he was too shy to sing in front of crowds, he would learn years later to break that barrier and become a performer with two of his friends in a group called Movement of Truth. The group has toured the country together, performing in cities all across the United States. Elhae released his EP, AURA on February 5, 2015. "I write about my experiences, and the things I go through. I consider myself very honest with the music I create, and I think that's what makes people gravitate to it." says Elhae. Pay close attention because the effort and perseverance with this kid is unstoppable.
